Once the appointment finishes, your surgeon will tell you what to do prior to your surgery:
- Mirror Simulation this creates a 3-dimensional image of how you can expect to look after surgery and the recovery period. There is no additional cost for this service.
- Labratory Exams standard lab exams will be performed at our clinic (Monday - Saturday 8am - 9am no appointment necessary). It is important that you do not eat breakfast before this examination.
- Make an appointment at the clinic with our internal medicine specialist; this will include an electrocardiogram (EKG).
- Make an appointment at our clinic with our Anesthesiologist.
- We will schedule your surgery taking into account your needs.
Recommendations for 'before' your surgery
- On the day of your surgery we ask that you don't eat and don't wear make-up on your face or finger nails
- DO NOT take any medication before surgery, unless the doctor has prescribed them.
- For at least 10 days before surgery DO NOT consume medications that contain acetilsalicílico acid such as: Aspirin, Alkaseltzer, Dristan, Asawin y anti-inflamatories such as Motrin, Advil, Naproxen.
- For at lease 15 days before surgery you should DISCONTINUE cigarettes and alcoholic drinks.
