Post Surgery Care
Having completed the ear surgery it is important that you take into account the following recommendations:
-
The patient can return home the same day.
-
You should sleep facing upwards
-
The recovery will create some discomfort due to the swelling, but this can be adequately treated with medication as approved by the doctor.
-
You should eat healthy foods after ear surgery, including vegetables, fruit, lean meat and plenty of water
-
We recommend that you begin post-surgical treatment after the 3rd day following the ear surgery, specifically biophotonic therapy
-
The majority of patients can return to normal daily activities after the third day.
-
The stitches will be removed around the end of the first week.
-
Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol both of which interfere with the wound recovery.
-
In case of any concerns it is recommended that you consult the surgeon directly rather than consulting other people who may have had ear surgery.
-
Recovery does not happen immediately and the exact recovery period varies a lot depending on many physiological factors.
